DRU 64 CB Wood Burning Stove
The DRU 64 is a classically designed wood-burning stove, crafted from robust Norwegian cast iron, making it a powerful and enduring heating solution. Designed to function as a dedicated wood burner, it delivers a nominal heat output of 9kW, with an impressive maximum output of up to 11kW, making it ideal for those seeking a serious heating appliance capable of running throughout the day and night if needed.
Engineered to withstand the harshest Scandinavian winters, the DRU 64 incorporates state-of-the-art technology, providing exceptional control over heat output and maximising fuel efficiency. Its triple burning process enhances performance and fuel economy. Primary air is drawn from beneath the fire plate to ignite the fire, while secondary air is channeled through rear chambers to the front, aiding combustion and creating an air curtain that maintains a clear view of the flames through the arched viewing window. Tertiary air, introduced through small holes at the rear of the chamber, works in conjunction with the secondary air to ensure complete fuel combustion and efficient dispersal of fumes.
Practical features include a large front door for easy loading, a side-loading door for added convenience, and an ash pan accessible through its own door. A “cold-grip” handle allows safe operation of all doors and is stored under the stove to remain cool. The DRU 64 accommodates large logs up to 60cm (23½ inches) in length, and a funnel is provided to guide fuel into the combustion chamber. Its slow, steady burn can be regulated with an adjustable thermostat.
